Cookie Policy
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit waretto.com. We also treat similar technologies — such as localStorage, sessionStorage and other locally-stored identifiers — as "cookies" for the purposes of this policy, because the legal regime under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive is the same.
2. The tools we use
Strictly necessary — no consent required
These cookies are essential to deliver the service you have requested and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, submitting a form, or recording your cookie preferences.
- Authentication. Set by Supabase, our authentication provider, to keep you signed in across page loads. Removed when you sign out or when the session expires.
- Security. CSRF tokens and similar values that protect form submissions and API calls against cross-site request forgery.
- Consent state. Records your choices on the cookie banner so we don't ask again on every page. Set by the Kontrol Sentinel consent banner (operated by Samarkand Industries OÜ — the same legal entity that operates Waretto).
Analytics — consent required
Loaded only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. We use Kontrol Sentinel Analytics, a privacy-focused, first-party analytics product also operated by Samarkand Industries OÜ. Because both Waretto and Kontrol Sentinel Analytics are operated by the same legal entity, your analytics data is not shared with a separate third party.
What it does:
- Counts visitors, page views, and traffic sources, so we can understand which parts of the product are useful.
- Stores a first-party identifier in your browser to distinguish unique visitors and sessions.
- Anonymises IP addresses before they are stored.
- Does not share data with advertising networks; does not perform cross-site tracking; does not build advertising profiles.
What we do not use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels (Meta, X, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Browser fingerprinting
- Third-party analytics processed outside the EEA
3. Specific cookie names
We don't maintain an exhaustive cookie name table here, because the names set by Supabase and Kontrol Sentinel Analytics may change between versions. To inspect the exact cookies and storage entries set by waretto.com on your device at any moment, open your browser's developer tools and look at Application → Storage → Cookies (or Storage Inspector in Firefox).
4. Your choices
A consent banner appears on your first visit. You may accept analytics, reject it, or manage preferences individually. Your choice is stored by the Kontrol Sentinel consent banner and can be revisited at any time by clearing the banner's cookie or by contacting us at privacy@waretto.com.
You can also control cookies via your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Removing the consent cookie will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit.
5. Changes
We will update this policy when we add or remove tools that set cookies. Check the "Last updated" date for the most recent version.
